A Year End Letter from NPact’s CEOs

January 3, 2024

Jeff Conn

2023 was a tremendous year of growth and change for NPact – many thanks to our entire team and all of our customers for pushing us to continue to get better each day!

We dramatically improved our Foundation Cloud product suite, making numerous design and security upgrades to improve our user experience and make your foundation and stakeholders’ data more secure. We also released our new Microsoft PowerBI cloud-based reporting platform and launched integration partnerships with Sage, Salesforce, and Virtuous. We took major steps towards achieving our vision of building a best-in-class integrated software ecosystem for foundations, and we are excited to complete our Azure migration and additional integrations in 2024.

We have executed on our plan to integrate our FIMS and Donor Central customers into the NPact family, moving FIMS hosted customers onto our secure Azure infrastructure, making numerous product improvements, and improving ongoing support and communications with our customers. We are excited to complete the Donor Central migration in February.

Our NPact Services organization has grown swiftly since its launch last year. We are now a diverse team of nearly 40(!) individuals, a 4x increase from last year. We also diversified our services offerings to now include Sage and Virtuous products, outsourced accounting, and Blackbaud education management support.

We are proud of the company and culture that we have built over the past few years. Many of you have seen first-hand how hard we strive every day to support your organization and mission.

We (and you) at this point most likely know that the structure of our market is changing rapidly – a number of our competitors have been acquired by large private equity firms over the past few months. We were struck by a quote from the late great Charlie Munger, who passed away a few weeks ago. Munger identified that the most successful companies established “a seamless web of deserved trust” in which they dealt fairly with different sets of stakeholders – including employees, customers, and competitors. It is this “seamless web” of a comprehensive modern software and services ecosystem that we are building each day.

We’d like to end on a personal note – an update on Sebastian (Jeff’s son), who just turned three on December 8th. His daily consumption of pizza, quesadillas, rice and beans, cheeseburgers, and french fries continues to scale faster than our Azure compute and storage requirements. Here is a picture of him attempting to steer an experimental helicopter at the local aviation museum. Much like Sebastian, NPact is ready for takeoff!

Wishing you a wonderful New Year, from our families to yours.

Warm Regards,

Jeff Conn and Brian Greeley
