FAVORITE HOBBIES
Current endeavor includes learning the piano, but otherwise, I enjoy hiking, writing, and reading anything about the social sciences.
BEFORE NPACT
My background is both in the nonprofit and technology sectors. I previously worked in fundraising in the greater Houston-area, and then ventured off to work as an Instructor with Blackbaud, training other fundraisers on Raiser’s Edge. I’ve since spent some time working as a Data Analyst and Implementation Manager, rounding out my skill set to be an ideal Solutions Consultant.
FAVORITE NON-PROFIT
The Houston Food Bank is one of my favorite nonprofits. I first fell in love with the organization growing up in Houston and hearing about all their amazing work around town, then working in Annual Giving at the organization, and now as a volunteer. I admire that their mission is not only to distribute food, but also focus on helping families achieve stability.
BIO
After completing my undergraduate degree, I went straight into fundraising, learning the ropes as a Development Associate at a community development nonprofit in Houston. I eventually transitioned into Annual Giving, where I managed a sustaining giving program, peer-to-peer fundraising efforts and assisted with our integrated marketing campaign.
Eventually, I found my way to Los Angeles, working for Blackbaud as an Instructor teaching Raiser’s Edge, including leading sessions at BBCon. I eventually left LA to return home to Houston, where I continued my career working at a start-up managing software implementations, and later on as a data analyst.
Now, I’ve come full circle as a Solutions Consultant, where I get to work with Raiser’s Edge again, but this time helping you get settled and become a database guru!
